ALL ABOUT NMCA

Nico Martin Cricket Academy was established in 1999.

Nico Martin owns and manages the Nico Martin Cricket Academy which is based at Midstream College Primary school and Midstream Ridge Primary School. The academy is in partnership with Midstream College Primary and Midstream Ridge Primary and responsible for running and maintaining their cricket pathway!

We have created a pathway for your child to start in Grade RR and play for 12 months of the year up to grade 7.

Since the NMCA has moved to Midstream College Primary 11 years ago we have produced over 40 players who have been selected into the Titans Junior provincial teams. An achievement we are very proud of.

All these players were privately coached at the NMCA and participated in the CBCOB Club and Shamrocks Teams (TSL).

These players join a long list of provincial and international players that have come through the Nico Martin Cricket Academy over the past 30 years. Currently we have exceptional young players in our junior ranks and look forward to their progression and development over the next few years.

About Nico Martin

BACKGROUND

Nico comes from a strong cricketing background having represented the Province from schoolboy level right up to the Titans professional team.

30 years’ experience of coaching kids of all ages both in South Africa and the United Kingdom
Proven track record of creating and establishing cricket structures
Experience as both a professional player and coach
Junior provincial coach and selector
Consultant Senior Provincial coach and selector
CSA Qualified Level 3 Coach
Captained and coached CBCOB premier league cricket team
Chairman of the CBCOB cricket section

Nico has numerous other accolades in the game amongst others being the recipient of the Christie Vlok lifetime achievement award from Northerns Cricket Union.
